Ramling
Approx 4km from Machindragad is Ramling, a religious place at Rathare. The place Ramling is considered as one of the oldest place in Maharashtra and it is believed that Lord Rama had been to this place. The temple is of Ramayana era and Lord Rama had done his devotion here.
The temple is on the island situated on river Krishna. It is believed that during His devotion, the rived Krishna got flooded and Hanuman had topped the water with His hands. The flood water made the way on either the sides of the temple. Hence, Hanuman here is also called as Bahubali [one with strong arms].
Narsimha Temple can be reached from via Pune – Satara - Karad – Rethare – Ramling. The distance can be 155km [approx] from Pune.
