Bhatkanti: Underground Temple of Narsimha
On the river Krishna, is another temple, called Narsimha temple. The temple is around 14 feet under the ground level. One can get at the underground temple through a narrow way made with black stone. The idol in the temple is made up of Pashan [black stone]. One can drop a coin inside a hole and can be collected at the basement through a narrow hole. This is a great experiment and exciting thing to be done and watched at the temple.
Narsimha Temple can be reached from via Pune – Satara - Karad – Rethare – Narsimha Temple. The distance can be 155km [approx] from Pune.
